About
Robert Good is an artist based in Cambridge UK who works with text to explore the problems of knowledge and the limitations of language. His work critiques the systems and structures of both analogue and digital landscapes, currently using found text sourced from automated online searches to create digital animations and immersive installations.
Good's work has been shown across the UK and in the US, Australia and Spain. It has been hosted online from India and the Netherlands. A New Dictionary of Art has been stocked at bookshops and galleries including Tate Modern, Arnolfini and BALTIC.
Robert Good is also the host of the podcast Something To Do With Art in which he talks to artists about what they do and why. He is an experienced speaker and has created the persona of Dr Good to investigate the intersection of art and science. His compilation of over 3,000 definitions for A New Dictionary of Art has been described as 'ridiculously brilliant and wonderfully unnecessary'.
Good is the founder and director of Art Language Location (ALL), a collective working with over 150 artists at the intersection of art, text and place.
