Paint must run in my blood. My father paints watercolours and is a truly gifted cartoonist but it was my uncle Jack who introduced me to oils. It was a revelation and from that moment on painting became an essential part of my life.
After giving up physics to study philosophy and theology at Oxford I then spent 15 years in IT, but painting was always there in the background, insistently pushing its way to the front. I picked up every art book I could find and taught myself to paint.
I'm now studying for a Master of Fine Art qualification at the Anglia Ruskin University.
